Popo (ポポ, Popo) is the fourth chapter in the Trigun manga.

Summary

So Vash gave credit to the capture of the Nebraska family to the town, who happily collects a $$700,000 bounty. Vash sees large sums of money as just being in the way.

After a month, the sandsteamer Flourish arrives in town, and Vash skips out on the insurance girls. They attempt to follow using a tracking device Milly snuck into his sandwich, only to be led to a cat that Vash had shared lunch with. Before boarding the steamer, Tonis, a boy from town calls to Vash, revealing his identity to apparently the head of security for the steamer, who hopes to cash in on using Vash for protection for the ship. In the following ruckus, the insurance girls catch up again. With the arrival of the steam ship came supplies to repair Voldoor’s plant, so the town has a big party, at which Vash gets hammered, and uses his apparent unconsciousness to avoid engaging a couple call girls hired by the city for him.

The steamer leaves the next day, and Vash sends goodbyes, and hangover vomit to the townspeople. During a visit to the restroom, Vash finds a stowaway crawling in the ducts of the ship on a none too friendly introduction. The kid wins him over with a horrible sob story of dead parents and sodomite uncles, that even he admits is a horrid story, but Vash is gullible like that, and agrees to help the boy get to May City.

Trivia

  • When Vash bashes his way into the air vents after Kaite, he is seen with wolverine claws.
